QUEEN of GREENS

The Queen of Greens, launched in November 2022, is a social-enterprise mobile greengrocer run in partnership by Alchemic Kitchen CIC, Feeding Liverpool and Foodrise.

The Queen of Greens stops at various communities across the city, bringing affordable fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs into the heart of local communities across the Liverpool City Region. Join us at Rotunda, their new stop, every Monday 10:45 – 11:30AM.

“Our greengrocers purchase produce from wholesale markets. Priority is given to locally sourced produce and an emphasis on seasonality to not only lower costs but also promote sustainability. They also offer affordable produce in loose quantities, enabling customers to purchase exactly what they need and minimising both unnecessary costs and food waste at home. This flexibility means customers can sample smaller quantities of produce without the need to purchase a full packet like they typically would in supermarkets.”

Grab a Book, Take a Moment

We’ve got four little lending libraries dotted around Rotunda—in the café, lounge, and counselling room. They’re free to use and full of good reads. Just help yourself, or ask a member of the team if you need a hand.

Got a book you’ve loved and want to pass on? Bring it in. We’ll add it to the shelf for someone else to enjoy.

R'After School Club

Struggling with homework? We’re here to help.

Whether your child needs extra help or you’re not sure how best to support them, Rotunda’s After School Club is here for you.

Join us every Wednesday, 3:30pm–4:30pm, for free, friendly sessions with our experienced staff Michelle, Alex or Renaldo. We’ll help kids get to grips with tricky topics, and give parents the tools and confidence to support learning at home.

If you’re interested, pop into the Bistro during session times, give us a call on 0151 207 2176, or email learn@therotunda.org.uk to find out more.

Financial Support

Rotunda works in partnership with Raise, an independent charity offering free, confidential advice and support around benefits, debt, and managing your money.

Their team of trained experts is here to help you understand what you’re entitled to, deal with debt, and build the confidence to take control of your finances.

Whether you’re struggling to make ends meet or just need some straight answers, Raise provides a safe, supportive space to get the help you need, without judgment.

They are based in our Enterprise Centre. Ask a member of staff for more details.

The Right Fed Shed

Our Right Fed Shed is a free food service open to everyone. As the name would suggest, it’s a shed situated to the side of our building, stocked with surplus food every Tuesday and Thursday. You’re welcome to come and fill a bag with whatever you need, no questions asked.

We also gratefully accept donations. If you’ve got food to spare, drop it off and help us keep the shelves stocked for the community.

Take what you need. Give what you can.
